Women Empowerment

Women empowerment is the right to have and to determine choices, a sense of self-worth, the right to have access to opportunities and esources, the right to have power to control their own lives, both within and outside the home, their ability to influence the direction of social change to create a more just social and economic order, nationally and internationally.

In this context, education, training awareness resulting in building self - confidence, expression and availability of choices, increased access and ability to control resources and actions to transform the structure and institutions that reinforce gender equality are important tools for empowering women and girls. We at Vans believe in giving all of the above by first enabling skills for confidence building and useful employment by imparting gainful knowledge in order to make them a part of the resource- earning member of society. When a woman works towards knowledge creating and wealth creation, she becomes a major part of family and society. She influences the family decision in the right path. Her earnings improve the life quality of her family and influence change in the right direction. We at Vans do this by providing education and assisting women to find jobs or setup their own establishments.

When you educate a person that person is empowered, however, when you educate a woman, the whole society, nation and the world is benefitted.
